SLALOM – Alcova 2022
Silentscape

Silentscape is metaphor of the Slalom world. It envelops the viewer in a chromatically intense and at the same time soothing dimension. The space is wrapped in its entirety in a whirlwind of bright colours, soft surfaces and variegated textures that transform it into a muffled sphere, in an all-encompassing experience between the dreamlike and the real. The multi-sensory project establishes a dialogue with the public by emphasizing the contrast between the acoustic comfort created in the room by the to Slalom products and the creation of an imaginary and graphic landscape tailor-made for the installation. The project inspiration is that walls can hear and absorbe everything we say. What if they could talk and interact with the visitors?

FELT
The shapes of the mouths were made entirely of 96% felt recycled from plastic bottles.
Felt is the first of Slalom’s three technologies, and can be used as a lining or pre-cut in any shape.

ECOrange
The second technology we encounter is thermobounded.
Panels in recycled polyester fiber that are pressed in a mold to create the most varied shapes, suitable for every need.
In this installation we have the ECOdrop and on the opposite wall the ECOrange W.

TAILOR MADE

If Walls Could Talk
The installation experience is accompanied by “If Walls Could Talk”, a musical suite conceived by Marta Del Grandi for the project that plays around the idea that the walls are the keepers of all secrets.
